David Takata, Engage Capital, President and CEO

Biography

David Takata is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Engage Capital, Inc., a boutique research, consulting and investment firm located in Newport Beach, California. In addition, David serves on the Board of Directors of Komag Corporation, the world’s largest independent manufacturer of thin-film disks used to store digital data. Since 1994, David has published dozens of research reports that have been widely distributed to institutional investors. His investment analysis has been utilized by some world’s largest hedge fund and mutual fund portfolio managers. He has covered public companies ranging from technology giants IBM, Oracle and Seagate to a number of smaller nontechnology firms. His comprehensive coverage has earned him a spot on two Wall Street Journal All-Star teams.
