This talk provides an overview of the steps toward commercialization, the enabling technologies and partnerships that made it possible.  And how these efforts have been integrated by InPhase Technology into the world’s first holographic drive prototype. 

Biography

Liz Murphy, Vice President of Marketing at InPhase Technologies, is a 28-year veteran of the computer industry with experience in Marketing, Information Technology, R&D, Channel Management, and Information Technology. Her broad experience from product definition and creation to market introduction and acceptance gives her a unique understanding of the challenges facing any company taking a product to market.

Liz has developed and executed business engagement strategies for direct, OEM, VAR, and retails channels in the U.S. and internationally. She has extensive background in the storage industry as VVP/ GM for WW channels and strategic alliances at StorageTek. During her 20 years of experience with Hewlett Packard storage, she was responsible for developing the reseller and retail channels for HP storage products such as CD-Writers and other optical drives, multiple tape technologies, and libraries. Her most recent position as VP of Marketing for InPhase Technologies, a holographic data storage start-up spun off from Lucent’s Bell Labs, provides extensive experience in bringing a disruptive technology to market.

Liz holds an M.S. degree from Stanford University and a B.A. from the University of Cincinnati. She has also held research analyst positions at SRI International. Liz lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with her family.
