For the seventh year the Storage Visions™Conference made industry awards at the 2010 event.

The Art of Storage:
 The awards included the Fourth Storage Visions Art of Storage award, recognizing a product for its best-in-class aesthetics, ease of use and industrial design. The winner of the 2010 Art of Storage award was Verbatim’s Insight portable hard disk drive

Visionary Products Category:
 Toshiba’s 64 Gb SDXC Memory card was awarded the Mobile Consumer Electronics Storage award
 The Home Consumer Electronics Storage award was won by the Micron RealSSD C300.
 The award for Integrated Home Entertainment went to Seagate Technology for their FreeAgent Theater+.
 The award for Professional Media and Entertainment System went to the Nethra Fastpipe Server Storage IO System.
 The award for Professional Media and Entertainment Storage was given to Spectra Logic T-Finity storage series.

Visionary Company Awards:
 Intel was given the Visionary Mobile Consumer Electronics Company award for low cost storage for storage products used in mobile computer applications.
 Marvell was given the Visionary Home Consumer Electronics Company award for the Plug Computing Initiative.
 The award for Visionary Media and Entertainment Company went to Avid for storage products supporting professional media and entertainment applications.
 The Visionary Service and Support Company award went to IoSafe for Novel Disaster Recovery Solutions.

Congratulations to all the winners and finalists of the 2010 Storage Visions Awards and thanks to all the companies that submitted products, as well as the award judges. The choice of winners of the various awards was difficult due to the excellent quality of the submissions.

MOBILE CONSUMER ELECTRONICS: Mobile personal systems utilizing onboard digital storage featuring small packaging, shock resistance, and low-power usage.
CONSUMER STORAGE: Advanced development of digital storage devices and media used in consumer electronics systems.
HOME ENTERTAINMENT: Innovative use of digital storage in the home environment.
PRODUCTION/POST-PRODUCTION CLASS SYSTEMS : Systems using digital storage technologies supporting content creation, including those systems used by the media and entertainment industry.
PRODUCTION/POST-PRODUCTION CLASS STORAGE : Advanced development of digital storage devices and media used in content creation, including media and storage devices used by the media and entertainment industry.

A special award in three categories will be presented to firms that have shown extraordinary dedication to the development and support of the show theme:

The Art of Storage- This award recognizes innovations in design for customer ease of use and good industrial
design in digital storage applications, storage media and digital storage devices used in Consumer Electronics. The award also recognizes appealing and clever aesthetic features in Consumer Electronics digital storage applications, devices and media.
